 Mike Zaremba Wins 2007 Tryzub Golf Tournament The 2007 Tryzub (Ukrainian Nationals) Golf Tournament was held on Saturday June 9, 2007 at the Limekiln Golf Club in Horsham Pa. This year, sixty golfers participated in this annual event. This is the 31st year that this tournament has taken place. Ukrainian golfers from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Delaware, and Maryland participated. The sponsors for this year’s event were The Ukrainian Self-Reliance Federal Credit Union located at 1729 Cottman Avenue in Philadelphia and the Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home located at 9529 Bustleton Avenue in Philadelphia. Both sponsors have also supported this tournament in previous years. Michael Nasevich and a group of his staff also joined in the competition. We would like to thank both sponsors for their generous gift, this year and in the past. The tournament committee was led by Joe Homick. The committee also included Roman Jarymovych, Andrij Zajac, Orest Lesiuk, Bohdan Anniuk, George Lucyszyn. The weather was sunny with a cool breeze. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful day and the great golf. After golf, everyone traveled to the Ukrainian Sports Center in Horsham, Pa. for the Awards Banquet. During the banquet there were other prizes that were awarded to the players. We would like to thank the volunteers and the committee members for organizing such a great event. Next years event will be played at the 5th Ukrainian Diaspora Olympiad which will be held on July 4th weekend 2008. This will probably be a two day event and will also include a team competition. The Tryzub golf committee will keep everyone informed with updates in the Ukrainian Press and by E-mail. Congratulations to this year’s winners.
